A mother has told of the “surreal” moment she discovered she had bagged a hundred grand — and was given the news in the most unlikely of places.
Mum-of-two Christina, from Blaydon-on-Tyne, received a call from the People’s Postcode Lottery while watching the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
The lucky homeowner’s phone started buzzing as she enjoyed the latest Ryan Reynolds flick with her husband Matthew. And it turned out to be quite an important call.
“They phoned when I was in the cinema seeing Deadpool,” Christina, who has not revealed her last name, said. “I had a voicemail and an e-mail and I thought then, ‘This isn’t a joke, it will change our lives’.”
